Two circles emerge, but they do not sit quietly on the surface. They pulse. A field of blue lines cuts across everything, steady and rhythmic, yet the eye cannot settle. The yellow circle glows from within, radiant and expansive, but as the lines pass through it, its brightness fractures into intervals—light becomes segmented, measured, almost audible. Below, the cyan circle breathes cooler, softer, yet equally unstable, shifting as the same lines disrupt its calm.
The mind tries to separate layers—foreground, background, object—but light collapses these boundaries. The stripes act like a filter, not hiding the color but transforming it. Yellow flickers between warmth and vibration; cyan drifts between solidity and transparency. Where they overlap in perception, something new begins to form—not a color painted, but a color perceived.
The circles feel round, yet their edges dissolve under the rhythm of interruption. Depth appears, disappears. The surface tilts without moving. Vision becomes an active construction, a negotiation between light and expectation.
Here, color is not fixed pigment. It is an event—an interaction between eye, pattern, and luminous energy. And in that interaction, the viewer discovers that seeing is never passive; it is a continuous act of creation.
