Its bark peels, shifts, and renews, revealing layers of color beneath—blues, reds, yellows, and violets. In this way, the tree becomes a vertical field of light, a living surface where color is constantly emerging.</p><p>This painting begins with the idea of <strong>water light</strong>, but transformed. Instead of a horizontal reflection across a lake, the light rises upward. The cool blues that form the structure of the tree recall the calm, expansive quality of water—space, depth, and stillness. It is as if the tree carries the sky within it, holding that same quiet luminosity found in reflective landscapes.</p><p>But as the eye moves across the surface, stillness begins to shift. Color starts to interact, overlap, and vibrate. Reds push forward, yellows flicker through the layers, and violets soften the transitions. This is where the painting enters the realm of <strong>color vibration</strong>. The surface is no longer static; it becomes active. The viewer does not simply see the tree—they experience it. The colors change depending on where the eye rests, creating a sense of movement within a fixed form.</p><p>This interaction is not random. It reflects a deeper truth about perception—that color is never isolated, but always in relationship. The eucalyptus tree becomes a natural embodiment of this principle, echoing the perceptual explorations of color theorists while remaining rooted in the organic world.</p><p>And then, within this vibration, moments of warmth begin to appear.</p><p>Golds and yellows emerge like light breaking through the surface, creating what I describe as <strong>golden atmosphere</strong>. These are not literal rays of sunlight, but emotional ones. They suggest renewal, growth, and the quiet resilience of nature. The eucalyptus tree sheds its bark, revealing new layers beneath—just as light reveals new meaning within the painting.</p><p>There is a quiet spirituality in this transformation. The tree stands still, yet it is constantly changing. It holds within it the calm of water, the energy of color, and the warmth of light.</p><p>In creating this work, I was not simply painting a tree. I am still trying to incorporate more gems in my paintings by using resin, a surface that will remain as long as oil or even longer. The mountains in the distance catch the first edge of this light, their peaks warming gently, turning from shadow into presence.</p><p>Nothing moves quickly here. Light does not rush—it unfolds.</p><p>As it descends, it reaches the vast salt flats, where the earth appears almost weightless, bleached and luminous. The ground reflects brightness without glare, like a quiet mirror that softens everything it touches. The lake, resting between sky and land, becomes a place of transformation. Blues deepen into violets, and a thin ribbon of warm color hums across the horizon, vibrating between what is seen and what is felt.</p><p>Then you notice them—three flamingos.</p><p>They are not simply standing in the water; they seem to emerge from the light itself. Their forms are delicate, almost suspended, their reflections dissolving into the surface below. With each slow step, they create ripples that catch and scatter color, turning movement into a soft, living shimmer.</p><p>Time loosens.</p><p>The light continues to shift, not dramatically, but subtly—like breath. It wraps around the birds, brushes across the water, touches the path that leads quietly into the distance.
